“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Ps. 20:7
February 24 will mark one year of war. There is much that could be said about suffering, pain, and loss but there is more to be said about how Ukraine has come together to fight on so many fronts. There is much to be said about how believers all over the world have sacrificially given of their time, talents, and finances to advance God’s Kingdom one soul at a time. We are extremely privileged to play a small part in this. Thank you for being a part of this. We may never know the Kingdom impact we have had on souls until we get to heaven but we do know that we are being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. One important lesson that we have underscored for ourselves during this time is to never put off doing what the Spirit is leading you to do. It could save your life or the life of whom you are supposed to minister. Life is short and there are very few things that really matter. War has a way of really making what is important come to the forefront.
We wanted to give you an year end report of what you have been a part of through the ministry of Holy Trinity Baptist Church and Touch a Life Charitable Ministries in Mukachevo, Ukraine. You have helped us give the Gospel in Word and Deed in the following ways:
temporarily house and feed over 2000 families fleeing active war zones;
provide counseling services, transportation, laundry facilities, and needed clothing for these families;
provide medical care and medicines for internally displaced Ukrainians;
deliver over 100 tons of food to families impacted by the russian invasion;
deliver a New Testament or Bible keychain with every food and aid bag;
preach innumerable short and understandable Gospel messages;
purchase 6 evacuation vehicles;
repair, fuel, and maintain evacuation vehicles for 3 partner churches in Kyiv, Odessa, and Lutsk;
provide satellite communication devices for evacuation crews;
provide night vision devices for evacuation crews;
provide winter clothing, vitamins, and emergency heating packs for evacuation crews and men from Holy Trinity Baptist Church defending Ukraine;
provide placement in the EU, USA, and Canada for Ukrainians who have lost homes and jobs;
provide fuel for Ukrainian pastors in the EU who travel to new Ukrainian Fellowships to disciple, preach and help Ukrainian refugees;
continue to feed needy children and Internally Displaced Ukrainians in Mukachevo;
continue sport’s ministry in the EU with Ukrainian athletes living outside of Ukraine;
support and participate in camps for Ukrainian refugees in Europe and Ukraine;
help start and facilitate Ukrainian War-time Fellowships in Budapest, Germany, and Holland;
provide 8 mobile power stations for Pastors who stayed in Ukraine to serve their flocks;
provide funds for small repairs (heating, communications, plumbing) for homes serving as temporary refuges for internally displaced Ukrainians;
provide bedding, blankets, pillows, and household supplies for internally displaced Ukrainians as they set up temporary homes in non-hot zones in Ukraine.
Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."
How we praise the Lord for His marvelous Word and the comfort we find there. Thank you for being a part of ministering to so many people in Ukraine! Thank you for upholding our family in prayer and ministering to us in so many ways. We could not do what we are doing without your help and support!
We continue to covet your prayers for physical health and safety for our family and our partners in Ukraine and for a Ukrainian Victory in this war on Ukrainian terms as soon as possible. We pray you will continue to partner with us as we seek to reach people for the Lord during this difficult time.
Oleg, Lori, Abigail, and Simon Enskyy
