- We need 6 more table tennis tables at $850 each and 3 more AC/heating units upstairs in our gym at $1300 a unit. Our city council is now financing the table tennis club trips around Ukraine (about $400 a trip). They are very interested in the way we are helping troubled youth turn their lives around. This ministry is opening doors all over Ukraine for the Gospel. We currently have over 30 kids registered that come to the feeding ministry and play table tennis. We also have gained children from "healthy" homes and they are helping to balance out this ministry. We recently hosted our first big tournament. We had over 60 children attend from our state and a neighboring state. Our bank and the city council sponsored the event, giving over $500 to the project. Oleg was able to give a Gospel charge at the beginning and no one objected.
- Outfit an autoshop with equipment for fixing automatic transmissions as a teaching opportunity. Our region is not known for good paying jobs and many of our breadwinners and youth live most of the year in Europe doing menial work for low pay (better than they can get here). The dream has always been to find a small business to help our TAL kids and especially the veterans we work with find meaningful employment that will be sustainable without further investment. Our state, and within a 500 mile radius, has no body shops that fix automatic transmissions. Recently we sent our car 600 miles away (towed it) to have it fixed. To outfit a basic shop and pay for a teacher to come in for at least 6 months, we will need up to $40,000.
